Abstract

Gudang bahan baku berperan penting dalam mendukung kelancaran proses
produksi. PT Sari Unggul Makmur merupakan perusahaan produksi karung tenun
plastik yang memiliki gudang bahan baku untuk tiga jenis material, yaitu ori, calvet,
dan recycle. Permasalahan utama terletak pada sistem penyimpanan yang belum
teratur sehingga menyebabkan perpindahan bahan tanpa pola yang jelas,
memperlambat pencarian, dan menurunkan efisiensi operasional. Penelitian ini
bertujuan untuk merancang ulang tata letak gudang bahan baku di PT Sari Unggul
Makmur dengan menggunakan metode dedicated storage. Metode penelitian yang
digunakan bersifat kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis berupa penghitungan
kebutuhan ruang (space requirement), aktivitas barang (throughput), dan jarak
tempuh menggunakan rumus rectilinear distance. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan
bahwa penerapan metode dedicated storage dapat menurunkan total jarak tempuh
perpindahan barang sebesar366 meter atau 2,83% yaitu dari 12.926,72 meter
menjadi 12.560,72 meter dalam periode lima bulan.

Uncontrolled Keywords: The raw material warehouse is essential in maintaining the efficiency of the production process. PT Sari Unggul Makmur, a company engaged in the production of plastik woven bags, utilizes a warehouse to store three types of materials: ori, calvet, and recycle. However, the current storage system lacks proper organization, resulting in irregular material movement, delayed retrieval, and decreased efficiency. This study aims to redesign the warehouse layout using the dedicated storage method. A quantitative method is employed, involving the calculation of space requirements, throughput levels, and travel distances based on the rectilinear distance formula. The results reveal that applying the dedicated storage method reduces the total material handling travel distance by 366 meters or 2.83%, from 12,926.72 meters to 12,560.72 meters during a five-month period.
