Abstract

Keterbatasan alat praktik dan kompleksitas materi dalam mata kuliah
Pemeriksaan Teknis Sistem Kemudi dan Sistem Rem di Poltrada Bali menjadi
tantangan dalam pembelajaran. Materi teknis tersebut memerlukan media
pembelajaran yang interaktif dan fleksibel guna menunjang pembelajaran dan
efektivitas praktikum di Poltrada Bali. Untuk itu, pengembangan media
pembelajaran berbasis teknologi menjadi penting agar mahasiswa dapat belajar
mandiri dan memahami materi meskipun sarana terbatas. Augmented Reality (AR)
dipilih sebagai solusi karena mampu menampilkan objek 3D secara real-time dalam
konteks nyata. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan dan menguji efektivitas
media pembelajaran berbasis AR. Aplikasi dikembangkan menggunakan SketchUp,
Figma, Unity, dan Vuforia dengan jenis AR marker-based, serta diuji menggunakan
metode R&D dan desain eksperimen randomized control group pretest-posttest.
Subjek terdiri dari kelompok eksperimen (AR) dan kontrol (konvensional). Hasil
penelitian menunjukkan media AR sangat layak dengan skor SUS sebesar 87,7
dalam kategori “Best Imaginable” serta peningkatan signifikan hasil belajar pada
kelompok eksperimen. Dengan demikian, media AR terbukti lebih efektif
dibandingkan metode konvensional, serta berkontribusi pada pembelajaran vokasi
yang modern, efisien, dan sesuai kebutuhan industri.

Uncontrolled Keywords: The limitations of practice equipment and the complexity of the material in the Technical Inspection of Steering and Braking Systems course at Poltrada Bali present challenges in the learning process. This technical content requires interactive and flexible learning media to support both learning and the effectiveness of practicum sessions at Poltrada Bali. Therefore, the development of technology-based learning media is essential so that students can study independently and understand the material despite limited facilities. Augmented Reality (AR) was chosen as the solution because it can display 3D objects in real time within a real-world environment. This study aims to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of AR-based learning media. The application was developed using SketchUp, Figma, Unity, and Vuforia with a marker-based AR type, and tested using an R&D method and an experimental design with a randomized control group pretest-posttest. The subjects consisted of an experimental group (AR) and a control group (conventional). The results showed that the AR media was highly feasible, with a SUS score of 87.7 categorized as “Best Imaginable,” and a significant improvement in learning outcomes in the experimental group. Therefore, AR media has proven to be more effective than conventional methods and contributes to vocational education that is modern, efficient, and aligned with industry needs.
