PENENTUAN LOKASI GUDANG DISTRIBUSI UNTUK MEMPERLUAS JANGKAUAN KONSUMEN MENGGUNAKAN METODE CENTER OF GRAVITY PADA PT. MAHA TIRTA SEJAHTERA

PT Maha Tirta Sejahtera is a Vodamin brand drinking water company that has been established since 2017 and is located in Bangli Regency. Although Vodamin drinking water consumers are mostly in Karangasem, the company currently does not have an official distributor or reseller. On the other hand, the predicted increase in demand is both an advantage and a challenge. To accommodate the amount of demand, the company needs to have a strategic distribution warehouse. This research aims to determine a strategic area to build a distribution warehouse in order to reach consumers and maximize distribution to meet consumer demand. This research uses the Center Of Gravity Method which is a location determination method by taking into account the location of consumers, delivery frequency, delivery volume, and transportation costs. The results showed that the recommended location for building a distribution warehouse is at the coordinates Cx = 115.4334727 and Cy = -8.429092954 located in Banjar Rendang Tengah, Rendang Village, Rendang District, Karangasem Regency. There is a difference in total distance when delivery is made from Bangli and from Rendang to the consumer area which is 84.4 km with a percentage decrease of 19.53%. The Rendang sub-district where the coordinate point falls is an area with a fairly frequent ordering frequency of 44 times during the six-month time period.
