Abstract
Hazard identification is one of the steps to support traffic safety on the blacklink section of Sunu roads, Makassar City. This researchh was conductedd with the aim of providingg recommendations for adding road equipment facilities as an effort to reduce hazards at accident-prone locations on Sunu roads, Makassar City. The method used in data analysis is a quantitative method with variables of speed, stopping visibility and an analysis of pedestrian facility needs. The results of the researchh show that the speed on Jalan Sunu exceeds the maximum speed limit stipulated in (PM 111 of 2015) collector roads without medians and without special motorbike lanes with the characteristics of dense housing and shops have a speed limit of 40 km/hour and are based on the Director General's Decree Landd Transportationn No. 3582/AJ.403/DRJD/20188 the maximum speed limit in school areas is 30 km/hour, based on analysis of the 85th percentile speed on the Jalan Sunu section of 52 km/hour (SM), 43 km/hour (KS), 40 km/ maximum hours (KB), based on an analysis of sidewalk needs, the effective width of the eastern sidewalk is 1.53 meters and the western 1.57 meters and for crossing facilities, namely pelican crossing with a value (〖PV〗^2) is 193.180.520 (〖<10〗^8). Basedd on the results of the analysiss carried out, measures are needed to reduce hazards on the blacklink section of Jalan Sunu in the form of repairs and additional road equipment facilities.
