Abstract

The South Sudirman u-turn is located between segments 2 and 3 of Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Pekanbaru City. This u-turn is one of the u-turn which is famous for its traffic jams. Not only by observation, this is also proven by calculating performance through PKJI 2023 and obtaining a degree of saturation of 0.97. The large volume of vehicles and large vehicles maneuvering on u-turn are the causes of this problem. This research aims to optimize performance in U-Turn studies. The method used by the author is PKJI 2023 and modeling via vissim. PKJI 2023 produces performance in the form of degree of saturation, travel speed and travel time, while Vissim produces performance in the form of queue length and delays. Apart from that, vissim also functions to visualize conflicts and geometric conditions before and after engineering. Meanwhile, the data needed is volume data for the busiest hour on u-turn, spotspeed, and also inventory. Based on the existing problems, the solution that can be implemented is to redesign the geometry to increase capacity and make the u-turn one-way to resolve conflicts. Based on the results of the optimization analysis, performance improvements were obtained in the form of reducing the degree of saturation by 18% in the northern u-turn and 16% in the southern u-turn, reducing queue length by 73% in the northern U-Turn and 96% in the southern u-turn. . Apart from that, there was an increase in travel speed of 23% on the northern u-turn and 21% on the southern u-turn, as well as a decrease in average travel time of 52% on the northern u-turn and 51% on the southern u-turn.

PKJI 2023 menghasilkan kinerja berupa derajat kejenuhan, kecepatan tempuh dan waktu tempuh, sedangkan vissim menghasilkan kinerja berupa panjang antrian dan tundaan. Selain itu, vissim juga berfungsi memvisualisasikan konflik dan kondisi geometrik sebelum dan setelah dilakukan rekayasa. Adapun, data yang dibutuhkan adalah data volume satu jam tersibuk pada U-Turn, spotspeed, dan juga inventarisasi. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang ada, solusi yang sekiranya dapat diterapkan adalah dengan meredesign geometrik untuk menambah kapasitas dan menjadikan U-Turn satu arah untuk memecah konflik. Berdasarkan hasil analisis optimalisasi, diperoleh peningkatan kinerja berupa penurunan derajat kejenuhan sebanyak 18% di U-Turn utara dan 16% di U-Turn selatan, penurunan panjang antrian sebanyak 73% di sebelah utara U-Turn dan 96% di sebelah selatan U-Turn. Selain itu, terjadi peningkatan kecepatan tempuh 23% di U-Turn utara dan 21% di U-Turn selatan, juga penurunan waktu tempuh rata-rata sebanyak 52% di U-Turn utara dan 51% di U-Turn selatan.
