PERENCANAAN ULANG DESAIN HALTE NGABEAN BERDASARKAN ANALISIS KEBUTUHAN PENUMPANG

Public transportation has several objectives, including providing safe, fast, comfortable, and affordable services to the public whose mobility is increasing, especially for workers in carrying out their activities. A bus stop is one type of static public transportation facility. Ngabean bus stop is the largest transit point for TransJogja, but the existing facilities and infrastructure are considered inadequate. The bus stop area is also considered too small to serve the number of passengers, with overcrowded conditions often found extending outside the bus stop building, while the surrounding land is still very wide for the bus stop to be expanded. This condition makes it possible to redesign the loading area from an initial design without a bus bay to a bus bay, with the construction of a bus bay on the eastern side of the bus stop. The purpose of this study is to determine the capacity of the loading area and bus stop, as well as the ideal bus circulation route. The research methodology was carried out starting from the problem identification stage, then an inventory of facilities, bus stop buildings, distribution of questionnaires to passengers, and daily static data processing were carried out. The results of the analysis show that passenger needs will continue to be served with three loading areas because of the availability of supporting land with a larger capacity and able to meet the needs. Meanwhile, the ideal bus stop area based on existing conditions is 92.4 m². Meanwhile, for bus circulation, there is a simplification, especially for buses coming from the south.
