Abstract

Simpang Gardujati – Sudirman is one of the intersections in Bandung City which has a degree of saturation exceeding 1 with a queue length of 400 meters. So that the purpose of this study is to evaluate the performance of the intersection and carry out optimization so as to improve the performance of the Simpang Gardujati - Sudirman for the better. The methods used in this research are PKJI 2023 and PTV Vissim. PKJI 2023 is only used in determining the optimal cycle time and green time distribution at the intersection while Vissim is used in finding the queue length and delay from the planning simulation results.
The results obtained from this research are that the daily plan that has been implemented is still not optimal because it has a queue length of 495 meters with a delay of 223.7 seconds. After simulation on Vissim, it is found that the best performance optimization at the intersection can be done by adjusting the cycle time at the intersection because it is proven to reduce the queue length and delay at the intersection.

Uncontrolled Keywords: Simpang Gardujati – Sudirman merupakan salah satu simpang di Kota Bandung. Berdasarkan hasil analisis Tim PKL Kota Bandung didapatkan bahwa Simpang Gardujati – Sudirman memililki derajat kejenuhan melebihi 1 dengan panjang antrian yaitu 400 meter. Sehingga tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengevaluasi kinerja simpang serta melakukan optimalisasi sehingga mampu meningkatkan kinerja Simpang Gardujati – Sudirman menjadi lebih baik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian kali ini yaitu PKJI 2023 dan PTV Vissim. PKJI 2023 hanya digunakan dalam menentukan waktu siklus dan distribusi waktu hijau yang optimal pada simpang sedangkan Vissim digunakan dalam mencari panjang antrian serta tundaan dari hasil simulasi perencanaan yang dilakukan. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian kali ini yaitu pada plan harian yang telah diterapkan masih belum optimal karena memiliki panjang antrian mencapai 495 meter dengan tundaan 223,7 detik. Setelah dilakukannya simulasi pada Vissim didapatkan bahwa optimalisasi kinerja terbaik pada Simpang dapat dilakukan dengan penyesuaian waktu siklus pada simpang karena terbukti menurunkan panjang antrian serta tundaan di simpang.
