Abstract

Redpack merupakan layanan pengiriman milik PT Sarana Bandar Logistik yang
memanfaatkan ruang kosong pada kapal penumpang milik PT PELNI (Persero)
untuk pengiriman barang ke berbagai daerah di Indonesia. Dalam aktivitas
pengiriman ini terdapat permasalahan berupa keterlambatan pengiriman, kerusakan
dan kehilangan barang. Melalui metode Lean Six Sigma dengan pendekatan
DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control), penelitian ini
mengidentifikasi penyebab terjadinya masalah berasal dari SDM dan fasilitas yang
kurang memadai. Perbaikan dilakukan menggunakan metode PDCA (Plan, Do,
Check, Act) yang diharapkan dapat terbentuknya siklus perbaikan yang
berkesinambungan. Pada tahap control menjadi kunci keberhasilan dengan
mengimplementasikan perencanaan, sehingga diharapkan layanan redpack dapat
mengalami peningkatan performa distribusi secara signifikan. Penelitian ini
menegaskan bahwa penerapan metode Lean Six Sigma adalah kunci mengatasi
masalah, redpack diharapkan mampu meningkatkan daya saing dan memberikan
layanan pengiriman lebih unggul dan terpercaya.

Uncontrolled Keywords: Redpack is a shipping service owned by PT Sarana Bandar Logistik that utilizes empty space on passenger ships owned by PT PELNI (Persero) to ship goods to various regions in Indonesia. In this shipping activity, there are issues such as delivery delays, damage, and loss of goods. Throughthe Lean Six Sigma method with the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control), this study identified the causes of the problems stemming from inadequate human resources and facilities. Improvements were made using the PDCA method (Plan, Do, Check, Act), which is expected to establish a continuous improvements cycle. The control phase is the key to success by implementing planning, there by improving the performance of redpack’s distribution services significantly. This study emphasizes that the application of the Lean Six Sigma method is the key to addressing redpack’s issuses, expected to enhance competitiveness and provide superior and reliable shipping services.
