Abstract
Limbah padat medis yang dihasilkan dari aktivitas rumah sakit mengandung potensi
bahaya tinggi terhadap kesehatan manusia dan lingkungan jika tidak dikelola secara
tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi penerapan pengelolaan limbah
padat medis di Rumah Sakit X, Jawa Barat, dan menilai kesesuaiannya dengan
Peraturan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan Nomor 56 Tahun 2015
tentang Tata Cara dan Persyaratan Teknis Pengelolaan Limbah Bahan Berbahaya
dan Beracun (B3) dari Fasilitas Pelayanan Kesehatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan
pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui
wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa
sebagian besar tahapan pengelolaan limbah, seperti pengurangan, pemilahan,
pewadahan, penyimpanan sementara, dan pengangkutan eksternal telah sesuai
dengan regulasi. Namun demikian, ditemukan beberapa kekurangan seperti belum
tersedianya jalur khusus pengangkutan limbah dan alat pengangkut yang tidak
memenuhi standar izin. Rumah Sakit X telah menerapkan berbagai upaya
pengurangan risiko, termasuk pelatihan petugas dan penggunaan simbol/kode
warna pada wadah limbah. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perbaikan pada aspek
infrastruktur dan pelatihan teknis untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan keselamatan
dalam pengelolaan limbah padat medis

| Uncontrolled Keywords: | Solid medical waste generated by hospital activities poses significant risks to human health and the environment if not properly managed. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of solid medical waste management at Hospital X, located in Subang Regency, West Java, and to assess its compliance with the Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry Number 56 of 2015 concerning Technical Requirements and Procedures for the Management of Hazardous and Toxic Waste (B3) from Health Service Facilities. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that most waste management stages—reduction, segregation, containment, temporary storage, and external transportation—have been implemented in accordance with the regulation. However, certain deficiencies were identified, such as the absence of a dedicated transportation route and the use of non-compliant transport equipment. Hospital X has undertaken risk reduction efforts including staff training and the use of waste labels and color-coded containers. The study recommends improvements in infrastructure and technical training to enhance the safety and efficiency of solid medical waste management.
