Abstract

Uncontrolled Keywords: Tanjung Priok Port, as Indonesia’s main seaport, experiences congestion due to the high volume of export-import activities originating from the Greater Jakarta area (Jabodetabek). To reduce operational burdens and traffic congestion, the development of a dry port is needed as an extension of the seaport. This study aims to determine the optimal location for a dry port in the Jabodetabek region using the Center of Gravity (COG) method. The method considers geographic coordinates and the number of export-import businesses in each city/regency, weighted by the volume of activity. The data used include business distribution and regional coordinates obtained through QGIS software. The analysis results indicate that the gravity center is located at coordinates X -6.162813 and Y 106.719831, precisely in Duri Kosambi Subdistrict, West Jakarta, DKI Jakarta Province. This location is considered strategic for dry port development, as it supports efficient goods distribution and reduces congestion at Tanjung Priok Port. This is evidenced by a reduced travel distance of approximately 144.3 km, or a decrease of 29.45%, to and from business locations, which may shift export-import volumes to the dry port and reduce direct flows to the seaport.
