Abstract
PT XYZ merupakan perusahaan tekstil berskala besar yang menghasilkan limbah
Bahan Berbahaya dan Beracun (B3) dari kegiatan produksinya. Penelitian ini
dilakukan untuk mengetahui kondisi Tempat Penyimpanan Sementara (TPS)
limbah Bahan Berbahaya dan Beracun (B3) di PT XYZ serta menyusun usulan
desain layout yang sesuai dengan regulasi yang berlaku. Penelitian difokuskan pada
dua lokasi TPS, yaitu TPS 3 dan TPS 5, yang masing-masing digunakan untuk
menyimpan limbah oli bekas, Sludge IPAL, majun terkontaminasi, dan lampu TL
bekas. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi lapangan dengan
pendekatan observasi dan wawancara, dilengkapi dengan perhitungan teknis
berbasis regulasi. Analisis dilakukan untuk menghitung kebutuhan fasilitas TPS,
meliputi jumlah drum dan jumbo bag berdasarkan volume limbah, jumlah palet,
blok penyimpanan, lebar lorong (aisle) untuk pergerakan hand stacker,
pencahayaan berdasarkan intensitas standar, luas ventilasi alami, serta jumlah alat
pemadam api ringan (APAR) berdasarkan keliling bangunan dan pemodelan
menggunakan AutoCAD (2D) dan SketchUp (3D). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan
bahwa kondisi TPS yang ada belum memenuhi standar teknis, seperti tidak adanya
pemisahan limbah, lantai yang belum kedap air, dan pelabelan yang belum lengkap.
Berdasarkan penghitungan, diperoleh kebutuhan jumlah kemasan dan fasilitas
penunjang yang sesuai standar. Usulan desain layout disusun dengan
mempertimbangkan penataan limbah sesuai karakteristik, kebutuhan ruang
manuver, dan kelengkapan fasilitas keselamatan, sehingga lebih sesuai dengan
regulasi serta meningkatkan efektivitas pengelolaan limbah di PT XYZ.

This study aims to examine the current condition of the Temporary Storage Facility (TPS) for hazardous and toxic waste at PT XYZ and to propose a layout design that complies with existing regulations. The research focuses on two TPS locations, namely TPS 3 and TPS 5, which are used to store used oil waste, wastewater treatment sludge (Sludge IPAL), contaminated rags, and used fluorescent lamps (TL). The method applied in this study is a field study using observation and interview approaches, supported by technical calculations based on regulatory standards. The analysis includes calculating the facility needs for the TPS, such as the number of drums and jumbo bags based on waste volume, number of pallets, storage blocks, aisle width for hand stacker movement, lighting requirements according to standard intensity, natural ventilation area, and the number of fire extinguishers (APAR) based on building perimeter. The layout modeling was conducted using AutoCAD (2D) and SketchUp (3D). The results indicate that the existing TPS does not meet technical standards, including the absence of waste separation, non-impermeable flooring, and incomplete labeling. Based on the calculations, the required quantity of packaging and supporting facilities were identified in accordance with the standards. The proposed layout design takes into account waste segregation based on characteristics, maneuvering space requirements, and the completeness of safety facilities, resulting in improved regulatory compliance and more effective hazardous waste management at PT XYZ.
