Abstract

| Uncontrolled Keywords: | The supply chain is a complex system involving various entities and processes to meet consumer demand efficiently. One of the main challenges in supply chain management is to overcome the uncertainty of demand and supply that can cause a bullwhip effect and increase operational costs. The bullwhip effect is a phenomenon of demand information distortion that results in increasingly large demand fluctuations at each level of the supply chain. Beer Distribution Game (BDG) is a simulation commonly used to understand the dynamics of information and goods flow in the supply chain. This study aims to determine the optimal strategy in the Beer Distribution Game by considering the revenue variable. The simulation was carried out using AnyLogic software that allows detailed modeling of the behavior of each entity in the supply chain. The study tested various combinations of ordering strategies based on threshold and order parameters, such as T/O 1/5 to T/O 15/20. The simulation results showed that the strategy with a threshold of 10 and order 5 resulted in the lowest total cost of -99. This negative value indicates that the revenue obtained from sales is able to cover all backlog and storage costs. Thus, the approach that includes revenue provides a more comprehensive picture in determining the optimal supply chain strategy. Keywords: Beer Distribution Game, AnyLogic, Revenue, Total cost |
