Abstract

PT XYZ merupakan salah satu produsen pada sektor industri pakan ternak dan
memiliki bengkel truk internal untuk mendukung proses distribusinya. Namun,
untuk saat ini gudang tersebut masih belum memiliki tata letak barang yang
terstruktur. Hal tersebut menyebabkan proses pengambilan sparepart yang
dibutuhkan menjadi lambat, selain itu dapat mengganggu aksesibilitas teknisi dan
memicu resiko terselipnya stok barang. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis dan
merancang ulang tata letak gudang sparepart guna meningkatkan efisiensi
operasional dengan mengaplikasikan metode class based storage. Pengklasifasian
barang pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis FSN (fast moving, slow moving
dan non-moving). Perhitungan jarak tempuh antar rak dilakukan dengan
menggunakan metode euclidean distance. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan tata
letak gudang yang menggunakan metode class based storage dan analisis FSN
dengan nilai turn over ratio mampu menurunkan total jarak tempuh pengambilan
sparepart dari 1.074,7 meter menjadi 840,7 meter, sehingga lebih efisien 233,9
meter.

Uncontrolled Keywords: PT XYZ is one of the manufacturers in the animal feed industry sector and operates an internal truck workshop to support its distribution process. However, the current spare parts warehouse lacks a structured layout system. This condition leads to slow retrieval of required spare parts, hinders technician accessibility, and increases the risk of stock misplacement. This study aims to analyze and redesign the layout of the spare parts warehouse to improve operational efficiency by applying the Class-Based Storage (CBS) method. Item classification in this study is conducted using the FSN analysis (Fast-moving, Slow-moving, and Non-moving). The material handling between storage racks is calculated using the Euclidean Distance method. The results of this study indicate that implementing a warehouse layout based on the CBS method and FSN analysis using the Turn Over Ratio (TOR) value successfully reduced the material handling distance for retrieving spare parts from 1,074.7 meters to 840.7 meters resulting in an efficiency gain of 233.9 meters.
