Abstract

Pengujian kendaraan bermotor khususnya pada pengujian tingkat kebisingan
kurang dalam nilai praktis alat seperti tidak adanya pemberitahuan “lulus/tidak
lulus”dan tidak adanya pengukuran otomatis pada alat untuk pemastian jarak. Hal
tersebut kurangnya prinsip efisien dan modrenisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk
membuat rancang bangun Sound Level Meter yang terintegrasi dengan sensor jarak
berbasis Arduino. Metode yang digunakan adalah R&D dengan model
pengembangan 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Dessminate). Rancang Bangun ini
dikembangkan dengan mikrokontroler Arduino yang mengontrol sensor ultrasonik
HC-SR04 untuk mengukur jarak, sound sensor SEN02332 untuk mengukur
intensitas suara, LED indikator dan akan dikeluarkan melalui Display LCD.
Pengujian alat berdasarkan sampel 20 kendaraan mendapatkan hasil rata rata
tingkat kesalahan 2,33% dengan keberhasilan 97,67% dengan rata rata efektifitas
waktu 4,6 detik perkendaraan. Dengan nilai validitas 90,85% yang bisa dikatakan
efektif. Hasil ini ini menyatakan bahwa rancang bangun mampu mengefektifitas
waktu pengujian dan inovasi ini mampu dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan
kualitas pengujian sebagai pelayanan publik.

Uncontrolled Keywords: Motor vehicle testing, particularly in measuring horn noise levels, still lacks practical value due to the absence of automatic indicators such as “Pass/Fail” status and integrated distance verification. This condition reflects a lack of efficiency and modernization in the current testing system. This study aims to develop a Sound Level Meter integrated with a distance sensor based on Arduino. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The prototype utilizes an Arduino microcontroller to control the HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor for distance measurement and the SEN0232 sound sensor for horn intensity measurement. LED indicators and an LCD display are used to output the results. Based on testing using 20 vehicle samples, the tool achieved an average error rate of 2.33% and a success rate of 97.67%, with an average time efficiency of 4.6 seconds per vehicle. The tool also achieved a validity score of 90.85%, indicating its effectiveness. These results demonstrate that the developed tool improves testing efficiency and presents a potential innovation to enhance the quality of public service testing.
