Abstract
Mlirip, Kota Mojokerto, selama periode 2020–2024.
Jalan Jampirogo–Mlirip.
Kata Kunci: kecelakaan lalu lintas, perilaku pengemudi, Kurang konsentrasi, tidak
tertib, keselamatan jalan, Kota Mojokerto.

| Uncontrolled Keywords: | This study aims to analyze the dominant behavioral factors of road users contributing to traffic accidents on the Jampirogo–Mlirip Road in Mojokerto City during the 2020–2024 period. The analysis of secondary data from Accident Investigation Reports (BAP) reveals that inattentiveness or lack of concentration and disobedience to traffic rules are the primary causes of traffic accidents. The multiple linear regression analysis conducted confirms that these behaviors significantly influence the increase in accident rates. Based on these findings, four safety improvement strategies are recommended: (1) education and public awareness campaigns to improve user discipline and encourage focused driving; (2) stricter law enforcement through fines, mobile patrols, and Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE); (3) improvements in safety infrastructure such as street lighting, sidewalks, and rest areas; and (4) periodic monitoring and evaluation based on accident data. This systematic approach is expected to reduce the number of accidents and foster a safer traffic culture, especially in high-risk areas like the Jampirogo–Mlirip corridor. Keywords: traffic accident, driver behavior, lack of concentration, disobedience, road safety, Mojokerto City. |
