Abstract
ANALISIS TATA LETAK GUDANG PADA PERUM BULOG CABANG KOTA PEMATANGSIANTAR

Perum BULOG Cabang Kota Pematangsiantar merupakan salah satu badan usaha milik negara yang bergerak di bidang logistik pangan. Dalam operasionalnya, gudang pada cabang ini masih mengalami permasalahan berupa tata letak gudang yang tidak efisien dan belum optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kondisi aktual tata letak gudang dan memberikan usulan perancangan tata letak yang lebih efisien menggunakan metode Shared Storage. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif menggunakan data primer hasil observasi lapangan dan wawancara, serta data sekunder berupa catatan aktivitas keluar masuk barang periode Januari hingga Mei 2025. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jarak tempuh material handling yang semula sebesar 113.641,92 meter dapat dikurangi menjadi 103.775,76 meter. Artinya, terdapat efisiensi jarak sebesar 9.866,16 meter atau 8,68%.

In its operations, the warehouse at this branch still faces problems in the form of inefficient and suboptimal warehouse layout. This study aims to analyse the actual condition of the warehouse layout and provide suggestions for a more efficient layout design using the Shared Storage method. The research was conducted using a quantitative descriptive approach, utilising primary data from field observations and interviews, as well as secondary data in the form of records of goods movement activities from January to May 2025. The results of the study indicate that the material handling distance, which was originally 113,641.92 metres, can be reduced to 103,775.76 metres.
