Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sebuah media pembelajaran
digital berbasis Virtual Reality (VR) guna membantu mahasiswa memahami proses
pengujian berkala kendaraan bermotor, khususnya pada alat uji smoke tester dan
gas analyzer. Pengembangan dilakukan menggunakan model ADDIE yang
mencakup tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi.
Media ini dirancang melalui platform Unity dan dimodelkan secara 3D dengan
SketchUp agar menyerupai kondisi nyata, dengan proses pengujian black box.

Validasi kelayakan dilakukan oleh ahli materi dan ahli media dengan hasil masing-
masing sebesar 94% dan 78%, yang tergolong dalam kategori “Sangat Layak” dan

“Layak”. Uji coba pada 25 mahasiswa Program Studi Teknologi Otomotif
menunjukkan tingkat kelayakan sebesar 89,6%, yang menandakan media ini sangat
mendukung proses pembelajaran. Dengan pendekatan simulasi interaktif dalam
lingkungan VR, aplikasi ini tidak hanya membantu visualisasi prosedur pengujian,
tetapi juga meningkatkan keterlibatan dan pemahaman pengguna. Hasil penelitian
menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran ini mampu mengatasi keterbatasan
metode konvensional dan menjadi solusi inovatif dalam pengajaran teknis di bidang
otomotif.

Uncontrolled Keywords: This study aims to develop a digital learning media based on Virtual Reality (VR) to support students' understanding of periodic motor vehicle inspection, specifically using the smoke tester and gas analyzer tools. The findings suggest that this media effectively addresses the limitations of conventional teaching methods and provides an innovative solution for technical education in the automotive field.
