Abstract

This study discusses the increase in speedometer test service time with the
IP Cam tool in the Motorized Vehicle Testing Section of the Boyolali Regency
Transportation Service. In the speedometer test process, the tester directs and
ensures that the driver runs the vehicle at a standard speed of 40 km/h and then
compares the speed results shown by the vehicle's speedometer with those on the
test equipment. The number of vehicles that have different dimensions and have a
high wheelhouse requires motor vehicle testers to climb or climb into the
wheelhouse to ensure that the running speed is according to the standard of 40
km/hour. This makes the service time longer and makes people's satisfaction
decrease. To support this, the authors apply the IP Cam tool in order to increase the
speedometer test service time. The purpose of this study is to apply the IP Cam tool
to the speedometer test and analyze the results of the comparison of service time
before and after using the tool. This study uses an experimental method with the
ADDIE research model to reveal wether or not there is an effect of using an IP Cam
on increasing the speedometer test service time. After the process of needs analysis,
design, installation, and testing of the IP Cam tool on the speedometer test there is
a very significant time difference before and after using the IP Cam tool. This tool
able to cut the speedometer test service time by 20 seconds from the previous time
so it can be stated that the addition of the IP Cam tool to the speedometer test is
able to increase the speedometer test service time in the Motor Vehicle Testing
Section of the Boyolali Regency Transportation Service.

Banyaknya kendaraan yang memiliki dimensi berbeda serta memiliki ruang kemudi yang tinggi mengharuskan penguji kendaraan bermotor menaiki atau memanjat ke ruang kemudi untuk memastikan kecepatan yang dijalankan sesuai standar 40 km/jam. Hal tersebut membuat waktu layanan bertambah lama dan membuat kepuasan masyarakat menurun. Untuk menunjang hal tersebut maka penulis mengaplikasikan alat bantu IP Cam dalam rangka meningkatkan waktu layanan uji speedometer. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengaplikasikan alat bantu IP Cam pada uji speedometer dan menganalisis hasil perbandingan waktu layanan sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan alat bantu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan model penelitian ADDIE untuk mengungkapkan ada atau tidaknya pengaruh penggunaan IP Cam terhadap peningkatan waktu layanan uji speedometer. Setelah dilakukan proses analisa kebutuhan, perancangan, pemasangan dan uji coba alat bantu IP Cam pada uji speedometer terdapat perbedaan waktu yang sangat signifikan sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan alat bantu IP Cam tersebut. Alat tersebut mampu memangkas waktu layanan uji speedometer sebesar 20 detik dari waktu sebelumnya sehingga dapat dinyatakan bahwa penambahan alat bantu IP Cam pada uji speedometer mampu memberi xiv peningkatan waktu layanan uji speedometer di Seksi Pengujian Kendaraan Bermotor Dinas Perhubungan Kabupaten Boyolali.
