PROSEDUR SISTEM PENERIMAAN DAN PENYALURAN BARANG PADA DEPO MATERIIL STAF LOGISTIK POLRI

The growth and transformation of the Indonesian National Police (Polri), both in
terms of personnel numbers and organizational structure, necessitate effective
logistics management. The Material Depot of the Logistics Staff of Polri plays a
crucial role in ensuring the availability of essential goods to support operations
across all Police Work Units. The importance of effective procedures in the receipt
and distribution of goods at the Material Depot of the Logistics Staff of Polri cannot
be overstated, as they guarantee efficiency, accuracy, and the continuity of
sustainable operations.The challenges faced in this research are as follows: firstly,
an increased workload due to a lack of involved personnel. Secondly, limitations in
transport equipment leading to overload. Thirdly, identifying changes to improve
the procedures for the receipt and distribution of goods at the Material Depot of the
Logistics Staff of Polri. The data collection methods used include internal
documents, interviews, observations, and documentation collection. The results of
this study indicate that the number of personnel and workload have increased,
thereby raising the risk of fatigue among personnel involved in goods handling
activities. Efforts made include increasing the workforce by hiring temporary
workers from the Polri Logistics environment and adding personnel assigned to
assist with tasks. Secondly, the limitation of transport equipment, with an imbalance
between the number of forklifts and warehouses, often results in overload due to
limited transport capacity. Efforts made include scheduling activities per
warehouse to help address the shortage of transport equipment. The receipt and

distribution procedures at the Material Depot of the Logistics Staff of Polri are well-
executed and capable of ensuring safety and security during the processes. The

system implemented ensures that the goods received and distributed are well-
documented.
