Abstract

The jukung boat at Sungai 16 Ilir Port is used to transport goods and being distribution bridges between the city of Palembang and other areas. The increasing volume of demand for goods is the cause of many jukung boat carrying more than their carrying capacity. This research focuses on the jukung boat with a carrying capacity of 30 tons belonging to Jaya Abdi, which during the period 20 March to 22 May 2024 carried out 5 transports carrying cargo exceeding its carrying capacity.
The transportation problem on jukung boat is categorized as a knapsack problem and solved using the binary integer linear programming method via Excel Solver. Solver results show, there is an average reduction in the weight of goods to be transported by 23.9% after optimization. This shows that optimization provides the best way to select goods to be transported, so that it can be a recommendation for dealing with overdrafts. On the other hand, the optimization results minimize the age of boat damage and better ensure the safety of crew members and goods.

Uncontrolled Keywords: Kapal jukung yang berada di Pelabuhan Sungai 16 Ilir digunakan untuk mengangkut barang dan menjadi jembatan distribusi antara kota Palembang dengan wilayah lainnya. Meningkatnya volume permintaan barang menjadi penyebab banyak kapal jukung mengangkut melebihi kapasitas muat angkut. Penelitian ini berfokus pada kapal jukung kapasitas muat angkut 30 ton milik Jaya Abdi yang selama periode 20 Maret hingga 22 Mei 2024 melakukan pengangkutan sebanyak 5 kali dengan membawa muatan melebihi kapasitas angkutnya. Masalah pengangkutan pada kapal jukung dikategorikan sebagai knapsack problem dan diselesaikan dengan metode integer linear programming binary melalui excel solver. Hasil solver menunjukan terdapat rata-rata pengurangan jumlah berat barang yang akan diangkut sebesar 23,9% setelah optimasi. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa melalui optimasi memberikan cara terbaik dalam pemilihan barang yang diangkut sehingga dapat menjadi rekomendasi untuk mengatasi overdraft. Disisi lain hasil optimasi meminimalisir umur usang kapal serta lebih menjamin keselamatan ABK dan barang.
