EVALUASI STANDAR OPERASIONAL PROSEDUR BONGKAR MUAT BARANG RETAIL KERETA API JOLGOSEMARKERTO

Standard operational procedure is a series of written instructions for the
work process regarding how, when to be done, where, and by whom, structured to
facilitate the execution of tasks and functions in the retail goods loading and
unloading activities on the Joglosemarkerto Train. The existence of retail goods
loading and unloading SOP on the train is aimed at preventing errors and failures
in the loading and unloading process. The purpose of this research is to refine the
SOP for the loading and unloading activities of goods on the Joglosemarkerto
Train.
This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive approach,
employing observation, documentation, interviews, and discussions to identify the
challenges in the loading and unloading activities on the train. The research
findings revealed that in the written SOP, the load that the loading and unloading
personnel are required to lift exceeds the maximum standard load of 27 kg set by
NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health), indicating the need
for an evaluation of the existing SOP. The outcome of the evaluation includes the
creation of a workflow for the retail goods loading and unloading activities on the
train.
