Abstract

This research is about the application of IP camera tools to maintain idela
time in the service of brake ability test aids at the Tandes Motor Vehicle Testing
Section of the Surabaya City Transportation Agency. The tool is used to assist
drivers who carry vehicles with long dimensions in positioning the wheels right on
the roller.
The purpose of this research is to apply the IP camera tool to the brake
ability test and analyze the comparison of service time before and after using the
tool. This research uses an experimental method to find out whether or not there
is an effect of using an IP camera on the service time of the brake ability test.
After the process of analyzing the needs, designing, installing and testing
the IP camera tool in the brake ability test, there is an increase in time. The tool is
able to cut the brake ability test service time by 18 seconds so that it can state that
the addition of IP camera aids to the brake ability test is able to maintain and
increase the brake ability test service time at the Tandes Motor Vehicle Testing
Section of the Surabaya City Transportation Agency.

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental untuk mengetahi ada atau tidaknya pengaruh penggunaan IP camera terhadap waktu layanan uji kemampuan rem Setelah dilakukan proses analisa kebutuhan, perancangan, pemasangan dan uji coba alat bantu IP camera pada uji kemampuan rem terdapat peningkatan waktu. Alat tersebut mampu memangkas waktu layanan uji kemampuan rem sebesar 18 detik sehingga bisa nyatakan penambahan alat bantu IP camera pada uji kemampuan rem mampu mempertahankan serta meningkatkan waktu layanan uji kemampuan rem di Seksi Pengujian Kendaraan Bermotor Tandes Dinas Perhubungan Kota Surabaya.
