Abstract

The implementation of motor vehicle testing in the motor vehicle testing
field of the Surakarta City Transportation Department has potential hazards and
requires a study related to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS). Testers work
alongside testing equipment, vehicle exhaust emissions, and a working environment
with potential hazards. This research aims to identify hazards, conduct risk
assessments, and implement risk control measures in the field of motor vehicle
testing. The HIRARC (Hazard identification, Risk Assessment, Risk Control)
approach is used in this study.
The research results showed that risk identification revealed five activities
and three locations, with a total of twenty-six work activities. Risk assessment found
four categories as follows: 1) Very High with a percentage of 8%, 2) High with a
percentage of 65%, 3) Moderate with a percentage of 8%, 4) Low with a percentage
of 19%. Control measures can be implemented through safety sign installations,
location transfers, creation of administrative rules, periodic occupational health
and safety training, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisa data dengan pendekatan HIRARC (Hazard identification, Risk Assesment, Risk Control). Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa identifikasi risiko ditemukan lima kegiatan dan tiga lokasi, dengan jumlah dua puluh enam aktivitas kerja. Penilaian risiko ditemukan empat kategori yaitu: 1) Very High dengan presentase 8%, 2) High dengan presentase 65%, 3) Moderate dengan presentase 8%, 4) Low dengan presentase 19%. Tindakan pengendalian dapat dilakukan dengan pemasangan rambu keselamatan, pemindahan lokasi, pembuatan aturan administratif, pelatihan keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja secara berkala dan penggunaan alat pelindung diri.
