Abstract
This research discusses the evaluation and optimization efforts at Tlogosari Intersection, Semarang City. Tlogosari Intersection is an intersection that has five approaches with high traffic volume movements. During peak hours, the existing conditions of the intersection often cause congestion, causing long queues at each leg of the intersection. Based on these problems, it is necessary to carry out traffic engineering management by improving the performance of the Tlogosari Intersection to make it more optimal. The analysis in this study uses calculations with the movement-based Akcelik Method approach, with outputs in the form of intersection performance indicators including degree of saturation (DS), delay, and queue length. Alternative proposals that can be applied in this study are optimizing cycle time and phase time settings and making changes to the geometric design of the intersection in order to improve intersection performance. The results of the analysis are known in the morning peak hour by implementing optimization using plan 2, the intersection performance indicators have improved by showing a decrease in DS value by 6.2%, delay by 15.0%, and queue length by 15.2% from the existing intersection conditions. While the results of the analysis in the afternoon peak hour by applying optimization using plan 3 showed an improvement in the intersection performance indicators by showing a decrease in DS value of 29.9%, delay of 38.7%, and queue length of 41.2% from the existing intersection conditions.

Simpang Tlogosari merupakan persimpangan yang memiliki lima pendekat dengan pergerakan volume lalu lintas cukup tinggi. Hasil dari analisis diketahui pada jam sibuk pagi dengan menerapkan optimalisasi menggunakan plan 2, indikator kinerja simpang mengalami perbaikan dengan menunjukkan penurunan nilai DS sebesar 6,2%, tundaan sebesar 15,0% dan panjang antrian sebesar 15,2% dari kondisi simpang eksisting. Sedangkan hasil dari analisis pada jam sibuk sore dengan menerapkan optimalisasi menggunakan plan 3, indikator kinerja simpang mengalami perbaikan dengan menunjukan penurunan nilai DS sebesar 29,9%, tundaan sebesar 38,7% dan panjang antrian sebesar 41,2% dari kondisi simpang eksisting.
