Abstract
Motor vehicle inspection is a series of activities to test and/or inspect vehicle parts or components with the aim of providing technical safety assurance for the use of motorized vehicles. The implementation of motor vehicle inspection is carried out by competent and responsible testers. The Kedaung Angke Motor Vehicle Inspection Management Unit has 53 testers. The observation shows that the division of tasks is carried out with five teams for seven lanes. However, in the field, only four lanes are used because one team is assigned to manage vehicle traffic entering the Kedaung Angke Motor Vehicle Inspection Management Unit. This results in lanes with equipment that can still operate properly but are not operated due to a lack of testers. This study aims to determine the need for the number of functional position motor vehicle examiners. The data collection technique used observation, documentation, and interviews. The data obtained was studied using quantitative methods used to calculate the need for functional positions for motor vehicle testers based on the Minister of Transportation Regulation No. 4 of 2024. The calculation results show that the Kedaung Angke Motorized Vehicle Testing Management Unit requires 12 beginners, 32 skilled, 10 advanced and 7 supervisors. Based on these calculations, the Kedaung Angke Motor Vehicle Inspection Management Unit can maximize the use of six test lanes. There is a shortage in the competence of advanced testers can be overcome by conducting advanced training II for skilled testers, so as to maximize the performance of the six lanes.

| Uncontrolled Keywords: | Pengujian kendaraan bermotor adalah serangkaian kegiatan menguji dan/atau memeriksa bagian atau komponen kendaraan dengan tujuan untuk memberikan jaminan keselamatan secara teknis terhadap penggunaan kendaraan bermotor. Pelaksanaan pengujian kendaraan bermotor dilakukan oleh penguji yang kompeten dan bertanggung jawab. Unit Pengelola Pengujian Kendaraan Bermotor Kedaung Angke memiliki 53 tenaga penguji. Hasil observasi menunjukkan pembagian tugas dilakukan dengan lima regu untuk tujuh lajur. Namun, di lapangan hanya digunakan empat lajur karena satu regu ditugaskan untuk mengatur lalu lintas kendaraan yang masuk ke UP PKB Kedaung Angke. Hal ini mengakibatkan terdapat lajur dengan alat yang masih dapat beroperasi dengan baik tetapi tidak dioperasikan karena kurangnya penguji. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kebutuhan jumlah penguji kendaraan bermotor jabatan fungsional. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Data yang dikaji menggunakan metode kuantitatif yang digunakan untuk menghitung kebutuhan jabatan fungsional penguji kendaraan bermotor berdasarkan Peraturan Menteri Perhubungan No 4 Tahun 2024. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa UP PKB Kedaung Angke membutuhkan 12 penguji pemula, 32 penguji terampil, 10 penguji mahir dan 7 penguji penyelia. Berdasarkan perhitungan tersebut, UP PKB Kedaung Angke dapat memaksimalkan penggunaan enam lajur uji. Terdapat kekurangan pada kompetensi penguji mahir dapat diatasi dengan melakukan diklat lanjutan II bagi penguji terampil, sehingga dapat memaksimalkan kinerja dari keenam lajur tersebut.
