Abstract

This research discusses the application of digitalization in the implementation of physical examinations at the Roadworthiness Testing and Certification Center for Motor Vehicles (BPLJSKB) based on AppSheet. In the process of physical examination of the suitability of vehicle specification characteristics, the examiner will carry out vehicle identity identification, the test result report will be submitted one by one to the certification section for the requirements for issuing a Test Implementation Order (SPPU) at BPLJSKB. The number of different types, brands, and types of vehicles causes the process of identifying vehicle identity to often experience obstacles which include finding the frame number and engine number of the vehicle due to different locations and positions. As every vehicle that enters BPLJSKB must be physically examined before proceeding to the next process, innovation is needed to support the testing process.
Based on this, to support the implementation of physical examinations at BPLJSKB, the author created a digitization application as a data input medium and examiner guidelines regarding vehicle identity. The purpose of this application is to simplify the process of issuing SPPU and as a guide for examiners regarding the identification of vehicle identities from synchronized archives. This research uses the Research and Development method based on user needs (needs assessment) to produce media devices. After the application creation is complete, the author continues with the implementation of black box testing and usability testing to testers to ensure the application runs according to its function. This AppSheet-based application can assist examiners in inputting data on the results of physical examinations and as a guide for examiners regarding the identification of frame numbers and vehicle engine numbers in carrying out physical examinations of conformity to the technical specifications of motorized vehicles at BPLJSKB.

Banyaknya tipe, merek, dan jenis kendaraan yang berbeda-beda menyebabkan proses identifikasi identitas kendaraan sering mengalami kendala yang meliputi pencarian nomor rangka dan nomor mesin kendaraan karena letak dan posisi yang berbeda khususnya pada pelaksanaan uji sampel dengan tipe kendaraan yang sama, sehingga dibutuhkan inovasi yang dapat menunjang proses pengujian. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, untuk menunjang pelaksanaan pemeriksaan fisik di BPLJSKB, penulis membuat aplikasi digitalisasi sebagai media input data dan pedoman penguji mengenai identitas kendaraan. Tujuan dari aplikasi ini adalah dapat mempermudah proses penerbitan SPPU dan sebagai pedoman penguji tentang identifikasi identitats kendaraan dari arsip yang telah disinkronkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development berdasarkan kebutuhan pengguna (needs assessment) untuk menghasilkan perangkat media. Setelah pembuatan aplikasi selesai, penulis melanjutkan dengan pelaksanaan black box testing and usability testing kepada penguji untuk memastikan aplikasi berjalan sesuai dengan fungsinya. Aplikasi berbasis AppSheet ini dapat membantu penguji dalam input data hasil pemeriksaan fisik dan sebagai pedoman penguji mengenai identifikasi nomor rangka dan nomor mesin kendaraan pada pelaksanaan pemeriksaan fisik kesesuaian ciri spesifikasi teknis kendaraan bermotor di BPLJSKB.
